“The Dark Knight Returns” Animated Movie Sneak Peek

If you were able to pick up DC’s Superman Vs. The Elite animated movie, then you may have already viewed the sneak peek for Warner Bros. Animated’s next movie. It looks like Warner has been developing an animated adaptation of the Frank Miller classic, The Dark Knight Returns.

The story is going to be split in two parts, with the first coming out this fall. Part two comes out early 2013. In addition to the video, here’s the official synopsis.

Peter Weller (Robocop) will voice Batman/Bruce Wayne and Ariel Winter (Modern Family) will voice Robin. The film will also feature David Selby (original Dark Shadows), Wade Williams (Prison Break) as Harvey Dent/Two-Face; and Michael McKean as Dr. Wolper, the psychiatrist who releases the Joker from the insane asylum in the comic. The movie is being directed by Jay Oliva, who was the storyboard artist for Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman movie Man of Steel, from a script by Bob Goodman.
